About the Artist

Lisa Price is a full time representational oil painter born in Birmingham, Alabama where she still resides. Her love of art began as a young girl and has continued throughout the years with an ever increasing desire to express her passion on canvas.  The true joy of painting has never waned and sustains her desire to create.  Regardless of the subject matter and using a variety of techniques, Lisa works to convey the beauty that can be found in its simplest form.  She strives to capture the mood and emotion of her subject in an honest and inspirational way.  Although Lisa has a passion for painting captivating still life and figurative works, she also paints a variety of subject matter with equal joy.  She believes God's extravagance surrounds us everyday and it’s up to the artist to express her emotional response to this beauty on canvas.  Lisa says, "My inspiration is light, shadow, simple forms, and the excitement and challenge of drawing the viewer into each painting to create a unique and emotional art experience".

Lisa is a Signature Artist and serves on the Executive Board of the National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society, is an Associate Member of the Oil Painters of America, an Elected Artist with The American Artists Professional League, an Associate Member of Allied Artists of America and a member of the Alabama Plein Air Artists.  Her greatest pleasure and where she finds the most peace is in the studio creating and continuing her studies in order to always grow as an artist.
